For the second semster we are excited to offer the Talmud Course for university credit! The course taught by Naftali and could count up to three credits. You could take it for 1 (just attending and participating in the weekly class) for 2 (attendance and exam OR paper at the end of the semester, or for 3 credits (attendance, exam AND paper). The course is in partnership with Prof. Bruce Rosenstock and is considered "Independent Study". We will learn what the Talmud is all about and look at samples from various areas such as Criminal Law, Family Law, Court Law, Conflict Solving, Business Law, and more. We will meet at the Cohen Center (Hillel) on a weekly basis (time to be determined based on the request of the group, probably evening time, so that people won't have conflicting classes).
If you are interested, here is the CRN number to sign up online and add this to your classes.
