10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Coleman House
Come join BOO in visiting the Coleman House (a Jewish assisted living residence for the elderly in Newton) on Purim, Sunday, February 28th. We will be leaving from H-Lot at 10:30 AM and returning by 12:30 PM. We will celebrate Purim with the residents there, delivering the mishloach manot that are being packaged on Wednesday to them, and schmoozing with them as well! If you are able to drive it would be much appreciated if you could contact Alyssa Moore at amoore@brandeis.edu. All those who wish to participate should RSVP to Alyssa so that we can ensure that there are enough drivers.

Purim Announcements

Purim starts this Saturday night. The Yavneh reading is at 7:15, the women's reading is at 7:10, and Koach and Kesher are having a reading at 6:45. Options!

Following the various readings, there will be a talent show at Campus Club at 8:30. I imagine there will be refreshments there as well.

At 10:30, Chabad is hosting the annual Terrace Purim party. Be there or be square!

Sunday morning, there will also be a reading of the Megilla at Shacharit. Unfortunately, I dropped the ball on this one and forgot to find out when that is. Normal Shacharit time for Sunday is 9:00, so plan on regular time...?

Sunday afternoon at 4:45 is the Yavneh Purim seudah! In Campus Club! Hurray!

Women’s and Men’s Purim Seudahs

Girls Purim Seudah
Sunday, February 28th at 4 PM in the Women’s Research Studies Center
Get ready for an Island Getaway Purim Seudah! We will have a blast eating amazing food, hanging out with friends and having a mini Hawaiian vacation. The Seudah will take place Sunday, February 28th at 4 PM in the Women's Research Studies Center. The cost of the seudah is $15 and there is an optional donation of $5 to the simcha fund. You can give your money to: Freshmen-Gabrielle Kaplan, Sophmores-Lora Slutsky, Juniors-Zahvi Glasenberg, or Michelle Siegel, and Seniors-Molly Katancik. The cost will be $20 at the door.

Men's Purim Seudah
Sunday, February 28th at 4 PM in the Napoli Trophy Room
As Purim approaches, we must all look to the most important mitzvah of Purim - the Seudah. In order to ensure a bountiful and sumptuous feast accompanied with yein malchus rav, we cordially invite you to contribute the requisite remuneration of $15 for the Seudah and an optional $5 pledge to the simchah fund. All proceeds will lead directly to your gastronomic pleasures and spirit heights. Please deposit the funds with your very own Satrap Corps. Men, please pay the male officers (Chaim Bergman, Adam Ross, Menachem Frenkel, Jules Levenson and Eli Katzen) to ensure the revelry will avoid leading to mixed dancing. Free riders will not be admitted and late comers will have to pay $20 to enter and a 'suggested' $5 to partake of the simchah fund. So please mark Sunday, February 28th at 4 PM on your calendars for the most important banquet of the year and reserve your spot with the cheaper fee of $15 [+ $5] by Thursday, February 25th to avoid incurring late fees. For further details please talk with your local Satrap rep.
