Shiur by Rav Herzl Hefter from Yeshivat Hamivtar
8:30 PM in the Beit Midrash
On Monday, February 22, Rav Herzl Hefter will be giving a shiur entitled "Purim and Yom Kipurim: On the Surprising Symbolism of Purim." Representing Yeshivat Torat Yosef Hamivtar, Rav Hefter is known for his study of both Lithuanian style Talmudic analysis and Chassidus. He has previously taught at Yeshiva University's Gruss Kollel, Midreshet Lindenbaum, and Yeshivat Mekor Chaim in Moscow. The shiur is scheduled to begin at 8:30 PM in the Beit Midrash, and Rav Hefter will be available after the shiur to talk with interested students about Yeshivat Hamivtar. All are welcome to attend. Hillel’s annual clothing drive
February 22nd-26th
Hillel is launching its annual clothing drive! Over break, please collect any old clothes that you no longer want (that are still in good shape) to be donated this Purim. Collection boxes will be located in Hillel Lounge and around campus February 22nd-26th, marked with orange signs. Before being donated, the clothing will be used as the trichetza (dividers) at the Purim party. Thanks in advance for your support!

Dr. Gerald Schroeder: The Age of Our Universe
Dr. Schroeder will discuss whether science and religion can ever be reconciled, specifically regarding their differing views on the age of the universe and evolutionary theory. Dr. Schroeder's formal training in the sciences paired with an acute sensitivity to Jewish texts and philosophy lend him a unique perspective on questions of Bible, religion, and science.
