Rabbi Naftali Rothstein spent a combined ten years learning at Yeshivat Hesder Shilo and Meretz Kollel in Mevaseret Zion, Israel, where he received rabbinic ordination from Rabbi Uri Cohen and Rabbi Sinai Adler. He received his BA in Education from Lifshitz College in Jerusalem and taught for three years at Yeshivat Sha'arei Mevaseret Zion.
A native of Los Angeles and an avid fan of the Lakers, Rabbi Rothstein made aliyah with his family in 1993 at the age of thirteen. After high school and a backpacking trip through Europe, he served in the Golani infantry unit. If he's not in the Beit Midrash, one can probably find Rabbi Rothstein playing sports, hiking, traveling, singing, checking the stats of the Lakers, or playing with his kids.
Tali Rothstein received her BA in English Literature and Linguistics from Hebrew University. Additonally, Tali studied Torah at Midreshet Binat and at Hebrew University's Havruta Talmud program and completed a teacher’s training course in Jewish Marriage Education.
She worked at Hebrew University's Center for Literary Studies, as a freelance translator and writer, and counseled brides-to-be in aspects of Jewish family law and ritual purity.
Aside from learning Torah, Tali enjoys reading, writing, art, nature, and playing the Celtic harp. Her interests span seemingly everything from manatees and world cuisine to medieval poetry and webcomics.
The Rothsteins have four children: Yehonatan, who enjoys playing sports with the students and sharing Parshah stories at the Shabbos table, Elianna, who likes everything that is pink and hanging out with the “big peoples,” Yair, who loves brownies, and baby Benaya.
