Meet the Weisses

Rabbi Akiva Weiss received his Bachelor’s degree at Touro College in Brooklyn. In the process of getting semicha at YCT, he took a leave of absence to enlist in the Israeli Defense Forces and served in the Givaati Brigade, achieving the rank of first-sergeant before completing his tour of active service. Akiva came back to the U.S. not long after and worked at the Hebrew Academy of Greater Hartford as a Judaic Studies teacher.

Nataly Weiss attended the University of Hartford where she completed her BA in Psychology. After graduating, Nataly worked as a Campus Coordinator for Hasbara Fellowships, training college students across the country to fight anti-Israel propaganda on college campuses and to be advocates for the State of Israel.

Recently, along with her husband, she worked as the Youth Director at the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale where she oversees a burgeoning youth department with over 300 kids.
