Meet the Kohls

Rabbi Eli Kohl spent a combined seven years working on his BA in Sociology and then his semicha from Yeshiva University. He was a mentor in the YU Mechinah program, helping students make the transition to campus.
Some of Rabbi Kohl’s favorite times have been teaching kindergarten at Ramaz in New York City and leading Israel tours. His love for learning can be seen in his teaching of everything from gemara b’iyyun to Chassidic thought.
Rabbi Kohl is known at Maryland for his musical skills, as he sings and plays with students on a regular basis. In his spare time, he enjoys “playin’ ball and chillin’ with the guys,” spending time with his children, and striking up a conversation with whomever he meets.

Naomi Kohl completed her BA in Psychology at Stern College for Women, and received an MSW in Social Work from YU's Wurzweiler School and an MA in Jewish Education from the Azrieli School at YU. She has been heavily involved in informal education through programs such as NCSY and summer camps since she was a young child.
In her free time, Naomi likes to cook and plan programs for women, both learning and social.

The Kohls have three beautiful children: the energetic Yisrael, sweet Shira, and adorable Elana.
