Meet the Greenbergs

Rabbi Ben Greenberg began his academic career at the Lander College for Men where he received a BA in Psychology. He went on to receive semicha at YCT, during which time he interned at shuls in Riverdale, New York and Teaneck, New Jersey. Rabbi Greenberg is currently the author of two books, Covenantal Promise and Destiny: Wisdom for Life (2010) and Twitter Torah (2009) as well as numerous popular and scholarly articles for online and print media, including The Jewish Advocate and The Boston Globe. 



Rabbi Greenberg has held fellowships in The HealthCare Chaplaincy, The Jewish Council on Urban Affairs, and CLAL, the National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership.

Sharon Weiss-Greenberg received a B.A. in Sociology and Jewish History from Yeshiva University and her Masters in Education from the Azrieli Graduate School. She is currently a doctoral candidate in Education and Jewish Studies at New York University, focusing her research on gender studies in the Jewish summer camp setting. She has both been awarded the Wexner Fellowship and been named a Davidson Scholar.

She has taught at Yeshiva University High School for Girls in New York and Yavneh Academy in New Jersey. She has also developed a fascinating curriculum for the Bergen County High School of Jewish Studies. She spent the academic year of 2008-2009 studying Talmud and halacha at the Drisha Institute for Jewish Education.

During the summers of '07 and '08, Sharon was the Rosh Moshava (Head of Camp) at Camp Stone in Pennsylvania. As an undergraduate at Stern, Sharon took on a number of important leadership positions, including both freshman and sophomore class president, president of the student council, center in the Stern basketball team, and a DJ on WYUR.
